Our History & Culture

We weren't always Lunchtime. Our birth-name was "Treats", a Canadian bakery that specialized in muffins. When John Grossi bought the franchise in 1997, he decided to expand the menu to include other tasty delights including soups and sandwiches. He and a friend came up with a star studded menu including the likes of the 'Tony Sacco' to pique consumer interest (When John was 16 and had hair Tony was his first business partner).

John noticed the flat, dense bread close friends were developing and modified in-house recipes to get the foccacia we use to this day. Steve Delidow joined in 1998 and helped with the concept of gourmet food with a fast, fresh approach. Treats was soon retired and Lunchtime was born.

Today, our chef manages the kitchen and Dana runs the front. Along with their team, Lunchtime brings you handcrafted food with a quality you've come to expect.
